red barn

I have a bunch of little panels that measure 5x5. I like them becasue there is a notch in the back for a nail. Very cool.
Here's the first "succesful" one. It is a red barn in oil.

Bixby Bridge

I think I want to paint this more than once- there is so much to it. A HUGE bridge south of me on Hwy 1 past Carmel. here's the first try:

it's my birthday today. I like the coolness of this painting. It was a nice birthday treat to myself to sit for a bit and just feel the water, sunshine and imagine the lapping wake on the boat.

last week

I painted these last week- water and direction seem to be a theme for the new dock paintings. I am gessoing my own panels now and I like the smooth surfaces. A lot!

San Francisco

I participated in a Great Urban Race last week in the city. We rode on a trolley. I have always wanted to. It was a fun day. I have decided to paint a few trolleys and San Francisco paintings. Here is my trolley.

ACEO trials

I painted a couple ACEO cards in oil to see what all the fuss is about.

They are fun to do! Fast and you need a tiny tiny brush. Not so much my style but maybe I should simplify. Anyway, here they are
